ICONOCLASSICS returns to Cafe Yukari
Our popular ICONOCLASSICS series returns to convivial Cafe Yukari later this month with a concert by acclaimed pianist Viv McLean in a programme of music by Scarlatti, Beethoven and Chopin.
Cafe Yukari is a small venue just a stone’s throw from Kew Gardens Station. A friendly, bustling cafe by day it transforms into an intimate music salon by night where people can enjoy superb music performed on a magnificent Fazioli grand piano, meet the artist after the concert and mingle with other music lovers.
In September we welcome rising star of the piano Tyler Hay to our ICONOCLASSICS series with a programme entitled Invitation to the Waltz. So put on your dancing shoes and join Tyler for waltzes by Chopin and Liszt.
Friday 28 August – Viv McLean, piano
Friday 25 September – Tyler Hay, piano
ICONOCLASSICS features leading, critically-acclaimed classical musicians, more at home in the world’s great concert halls than in a café but all happy to break free from the conventional classical music scene. The small size of the venue creates a special connection between musicians and audience, and allows the musicians to present music in a more accessible and relaxed way. Concert-goers can mingle with other music lovers and meet the artists after the performance.
Praise for 7 Star Arts at Cafe Yukari:
“a truly uplifting evening of beautiful music!”
“better than Wigmore Hall!”

“Inspiring, inspired”
“What a charming experience …to listen to first-class music and eat delicious food while outside, beyond the fairy lights, commuters pour out of Kew Gardens Station”
