Since releasing their eponymous debut album in 2010 Partikel have established themselves as a dynamic and original addition to the European Jazz scene.

Duncan Eagles (saxophones), Max Luthert (double bass) and Eric Ford (drums and percussion) are three extraordinary London based musicians all with very different musical backgrounds. The points of musical connection draw on influences from African and Latin American music combined with contemporary jazz enabling Partikel to take us to a sound world which is a personal, committed and a contemporary twist on the saxophone trio.

As well as performing as a stand-alone trio, Partikel are also embarking on their third album String Theory working with four of the UK’s most sought-after string players. Benet McLean & David Le Page on violins, Carmen Flores on viola and Matthew Sharp on cello.

“One of the hottest young bands on the UK scene”
